How Country Gourmet Began in 1996
How our work at home business began.

Hello and Welcome Visitors,

I have been in the restaurant and 'cooking' business all my life. It started in small diners of the south with my Mother, and uncles (read my cookbook, The Country Gourmet, Easy Country Recipes & Memories of Mama, to find out more or my author info here).**We donate 50% of our royalties from the sale of this book to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, in my mother and aunt's behalf. Both women died of breast cancer in 1984 & 1985. Their memory lives on through our book.**

No matter what I do, I always come back to the desire to share my love of good food with friends and family. In 1996 I opened a small sandwich shop with a downhome country at home feeling, but with food that had a 'gourmet flavor'. On the set of Good Things Utah w/ Reagan That's how Country Gourmet came to be. A little bit country, a little bit gourmet. During the years through having children and experimenting with a love of food, I started making mixes as Christmas gifts. Little Gourmet Gifts for my family and friends, that were easy to prepare. I kept thinking boy it would be nice to make money at this, so I started selling them at craft fairs. The last boutique/craft fair I couldn't make my cookie mixes fast enough. Instead of people buying just one, they would tell me they wanted 5 of these or 3 of those, always exceeding my expectations.

Having a desire to stay home with my children, during their 'little' years, I wanted to pass that work from home business opportunity along to the many young mothers and people who need to supplement their income or feed their family. So many young moms want to be at home where they are needed the most, and by selling our products, they can earn commissions to supplement their income. We don't promise our consultants riches, but with a little work, financial needs can be helped. They can conduct home parties, sell at craft fairs and conduct fundraisers.

I also, wanted to pass the ease of cooking and entertaining along to all those women who work, have busy lives, and only have a few minutes to spend in the kitchen. Our recipes are quick and easy and can help them impress others with good food. We hope our products can help supply comfort as well as good eats to all who try them.

Although we are a mom and pop operation (my family helps me run this business), we hope you enjoy our services and can trust in us to bring you quality products. Please come in and sit a spell and enjoy our website. If you are interested in our Gourmet Consultant opportunity or just want to enjoy some good food, you're at the right place.

Thank you for visiting,

Margie
