History & Mission
Mr. Bernard's School of Hair Fashion, Inc., was established in Lewiston, Maine, in 1960. We are known for our excellence in the training of many participants in competitions held throughout the United States. This includes the 1968 International Team Champions and many others too numerous to mention. In March 1966, the school received its first accreditation from the Accrediting Commission for Cosmetology Education, Inc. (A.C.C.E.). Soon it became necessary to establish a new agency in order to be recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. In 1970, this school became a charter member of the Cosmetology Accrediting Commission (C.A.C.). Mr. Bernard's School is accredited by The National Accrediting Commission Of Cosmetology of Arts & Sciences (N.A.C.C.A.S.), 901 North Stuart Street, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22203-1816.

Andrew A. Fournier purchased Mr. Bernard's School of Hair Fashion, Inc., from its previous owner in December of 1975 and has since improved the caliber of its staff. The school maintains high ideals in educating students to be true professionals in the field of cosmetology.
