Through conducting survey research with panelists like you, researchers are able to find the answers they need to make better decisions in serving their customers. Policy makers also use survey research to better understand public opinion and direct programs aimed at serving the public. As an Opinion Outpost member, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape and influence the policies, products and services of the world around you.

Step 1: e-mail invitation
Once you become an Opinion Outpost member, you will be randomly selected to participate in surveys. Survey invitations will be sent to you by e-mail as well as accessible in the members section of the website.

Step 2: Take survey
You can choose which surveys you would like to participate in. Generally, these surveys will ask some preliminary questions to see if you qualify to take the survey. Most of the surveys take no longer than 20 minutes to complete. Your answers will be kept strictly confidential and your information will never be used for anything other than survey research.

Step 3: Earn rewards
As nice as it is to have your opinions used to help leading firms and companies make more effective decisions about the products and services you use every day, we also appreciate your willingness to share them. As an extra thank you for participating in surveys, you earn Opinion Points for each survey you complete.

The number of Opinion Points possible will be indicated for each survey. Upon completion of the survey, you can check your point balance by logging into the members section of the Opinion Outpost website. Opinion Points are redeemable for cash. 10 Opinion Points are equivalent to $1. When you want to redeem your points, you simply click on a button on your account page to request payment. A check will be sent to you within 6-8 weeks.

Your privacy is protected
As a member of Opinion Outpost, you will never need to worry about your privacy. We are committed to maintaining your privacy and all information collected is confidential. Opinion Outpost will not use any information gathered for purposes outside of survey research. Opinion Outpost supports the rights of our research participants by limiting the use of the information to legitimate marketing research purposes. We conform to the Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO) Code of Standards and Ethics for Survey Research, the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) Code of Professional Ethics and Practices and all relevant US regulations regarding privacy.
