Cosmetologists provide beauty services such as shampooing, cutting, coloring and styling hair.

Cosmetologists also work on nails and provide manicures, pedicures and specialized nail services to their clients.

Students are trained in the care of hair, nails and skin. Salon management, retailing and communication skills are also practiced throughout the two-year program. Specific study of anatomy and chemistry is also included.
Students operate "Avantage" - the Vantage hair salon - two days a week and serve local clients. Upon completion of the program and meeting the requirements of the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology, students are eligible to take the state examination prior to graduation.
