About Us
Bourget Research Group was founded as Marketing Services Company in 1960 in
Atlanta by Albert C. Bourget. Al was a Harvard Business School graduate,
co-founder of National Merchandising Corp, and U.S. Regional Sales Manager of GE.

The company was one of the earliest research firms in the U.S., and focused on
consumer projects and political polling. Offices in New York City and Fairfield
County were added in the mid '60's, with expansion to Hartford coming at the
end of the decade. The name was changed to Marketing Research Services
in the '70's, and then to Bourget Research Group in 1989.

The company changed its business model in the early '90s, and formed strategic
alliances with firms that specialize in field and data services. This allowed for
international coverage, larger and more complex projects, and has contributed
to year-over-year growth for the past two decades.

Chuck Bourget (pictured left) joined the company in 1980 following marketing
and research positions at Manufacturers Hanover Trust and American Can Company.
He became president in 1998, and is personally involved in all phases of a project - from consulting and project design, to analysis, report and follow-up.
He attended NYU Graduate School of Business, and received a masters degree in
economics from Trinity College, Hartford.
