About
Welcome to DomainBits.com - a blog by Jeffrey Behrendt where you can learn all about domaining.
If you are interested in learning more about investing in domains, then you will find a wealth of information here to help you make better investments.
The blog’s main focus is providing information about building wealth through domains. I also cover some industry news and plan to discuss some ideas about domain development. I set up my first website back in 2001.
I have been an SEO and internet marketer since then and through that I was eventually exposed to the importance of domains. Unfortunately, I didn’t appreciate the importance of domains back when I started, particularly since a1-my-crappy-hyphenated-domain.com worked well for SEO in those days. Fortunately, I got wise, realized that there was more to internet marketing than just getting high rankings in the search engines, and through that learned about the importance of domain names. Now I combine domaining and SEO.
I’m in my late 30s and live in Ottawa, Canada with my wife, Aviva, and four-year-old son Emet. My wife and I work together from home. I spend a good chunk of the day every day of the week in front of the computer, and I’ve got the thick glasses and padded behind to prove it. I think I would die of withdrawal symptoms if I was away from the internet for more than a few hours. And I don’t like Google - they’ve got way too much power on the internet.
I am a great believer in the power of domaining and the internet in general to give freedom to people to do what they want, be who they are and live the lifestyle they choose, without the normal constraints imposed by society. I am a very family oriented person, and domaining allows me to work at home, work on a schedule I choose, take an active role as a father, get involved with my son’s school and be home for a family dinner every night.
I am an author at the leading domain news site: Domain News.
