THE TSS PHOTOGRAPHY STORY
In 1983, Carl Hansson and Dan Burgner founded The Sports Section, Inc., an on-site youth and sports photography company. The company opened its first franchise in 1984 and is currently franchised across 45 states as well as Canada, Australia and New Zealand. With over 225 franchise units in the network family, TSS Photography photographs over 1.5 million children every year.
In 2000, The Sports Section, Inc. expanded into the special event/action photography market and, in 2003, added a new school division called TSS Photography. Currently, TSS Photography is the "Picture Day" photographer for schools throughout the United States, New Zealand and Australia.
In 2005, the company changed its name from The Sports Section to TSS Photography. The TSS Photography brand now encompasses both sports and school photography, as well as photography for corporations, church groups and other community organizations.
TSS has increased its scope through alliances with national organizations and athletic leagues, among them the YMCA, National Recreation and Park Associations, Police Athletic League and Babe Ruth Leagues, Inc. We have also been actively involved with various charities, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
TSS PHOTOGRAPHY FRANCHISE INVESTMENT
TSS offers four different Franchise Plans. Each plan is a complete turnkey package including all necessary photography equipment as well as computer operations equipment package.
All territory plans are exclusive and each franchisee owns the exclusive marketing rights to their Designated Marketing Area.
Territory Expansion and Multiple Territory plans are encouraged.
Below is a list of the four plans offered. Plans 1 and 2 are offered for full-time franchisees. Plans 3 and 4 are designed for part time start-ups.
Plan 1 – Population up to 400,000
* Full Time launch.

* Includes additional in-field photography, sales, and business development training.

Plan 2 – Population up to 300,000
* Full Time launch.
* Includes enhanced photo equipment package and business computer package.
* Includes additional in-field photography, sales, and business development training.
* Exclusive Territory Investment - $48,000
Plan 3 – Population up to 200,000
* Part Time launch.
* Includes photo equipment package and business computer package.
* Exclusive Territory Investment - $39,000
Plan 4 – Population up to 100,000
* Part Time launch.
* Designed for low populated areas and rural communities.
* Includes photo equipment package and business computer package.
* Exclusive Territory Investment - $35,000
